Mrs. Meche, Burial Rites, Set Tuesday

GRAND COTEAU -- Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Mrs. Charles Meche, 93, the former Ophelia Devalcourt who died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at her home in Grand Coteau.

Burial will be in the church cemetery directed by Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Dell Andrus of Grand Coteau; one brother, William Devalcourt of Sunset; two sisters, Mrs. Alex Peck and Mrs. Vitalis Savoy both of Opelousas; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral home will close at midnight and open at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
